Version 3.11 – Inbound HL7 Messaging

Inbound HL7 messages with embedded PDF files are now fully supported in the current release version of Stat v 3.11.

HL7 acknowledgments are now created for all inbound messages.

All inbound messages that comply with the relevant standards will now be imported into Stat. (Previously only messages with valid provider numbers were imported). If a message is imported without a valid provider number it will be routed to Manual Message Matching so the correct recipient can be manually specified.

There are 4 things required for an automatic match.

1. The patient

2. The recipient

3. The sender

4. Compliance with the HL7 standards regarding display data.

Any message that is missing one of more of these 4 items will be routed to manual message matching

Messages marked as ‘Compliant Display’ are those that are completely within the standard. Messages that are marked as ‘Display Identified, not compliant’ are messages that despite not complying with the standards contain no ambiguity about what the display data should be.

Messages that are marked as ‘Not Compliant Display’ are messages that are not only outside the standard but also contain ambiguity about how the data should be displayed to the user.
